NEED FOR CONCERN:

Lead-based paint (LBP) has been responsible for causing severe health problems with workers of the building industry and the general public. Researchers have found that high concentrations of lead in the bloodstream can produce convulsions, nervous disorders, heat disease, coma and even death. Even at low concentrations, lead cur diminish the intelligence, attention span, motor skills, balance and hearing of young children. Potentially, three to four million American children may suffer from lead-induced learning disabilities and reduced IQ.
